Insights:
Worked closely with an overseas team of glass artisans to produce highly sculptural drinkware out of hand blown lead free crystal
Was able to visit their workshop in Taiyuan, China several times to explore the outer limits of their glass blowing process and design with these constraints in mind
We were able to produce unique, non radially symmetric forms atypical of traditional production glass blowing
Worked with our in house photography team to craft imagery that would inspire our gift and winery channel wholesale customers and end users to understand the artistic values of the Viski brand.
This collection of glassware is a true marriage of 21st century design tools like CAD and 3D printing, and a team of immensely skilled traditional glass artisans. It was an honor to translate my ideas into such an elegant and unique medium as hand blown glass.
